Posted on TVDadVerified Perfect Wine Tasting for Americans This is a wonderful wine tasting for Americans, as the wine guide grew up in Washington and speaks flawless English. The tasting is held in a small wine bar on a quiet street. The bar owner was our wine guide. He also grows his own grapes and bottles his own wine. He started by asking us what wines we liked to drink and catered the tasting from there. I lost count of how many wines we tasted. Maybe 9-10. At many wine tastings, they try to get you to buy wine. Not here! Just sip, taste and learn. It was a wonderful and very educational afternoon.Posted on GrandviewdriveVerified Must do Hungarian wine tasting with Mark! Mark did an excellent job explaining Hungarian wines, wine making and wine regions. We tasted a good variety of delicious wines. We highly recommend Hungarian wine tasting with Mark’Posted on lauraM4611RZVerified Great Winetasting It was really amazing. We went to the tasting with 4 people, the Bar Tender made a really individual tasting. He has a well knowledge of wine and could explain us a lot. Furthermore he made snacks with cheese and olives. It was great experience, I certainly can recommend it.Posted on Aicha JVerified DON’T HESITATE GO FOR IT :) The tasting was so instructive and fun, filled with great anecdotes and stories! The wines were perfectly selected, all of them being excellent. Without a doubt one of the best things I experienced in Budapest! Will definitely do it again if I come back :)Posted on Grace NVerified Must visit Mark was an amazing host! He is very experienced and knowledgeable in the industry. I was able to taste a variety of wines from the region, including his own. It was a great experience overall - the atmosphere, the wines and most importantly, the conversations. Definitely a great place for wine tasting. Would like to try their cocktails (not included in tasting) when I’m back next!Posted on Aleksandra KVerified Amazing Hungarian Wines with a Knowledgeable Host We had a wonderful time during our wine tasting - tasted delicious wines and had an interesting conversation. Mark is very knowledgeable and asks about your preferences first and customizes the types of wines for tasting based on a conversation and momentarily inspiration. We tasted types of wines we have never tasted before. Also, the snacks were very delicious. I highly recommend this wine tasting experience.Posted on Malina CVerified ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great experience. We attended a private wine tasting for our bachelorette party. Everything was much more than we expected: the place, the wine, the atmosphere, things we learned and of course, Mark the host. Thank you so much for everything.Posted on Bill FVerified A MUST! Enjoy exceptional wines? Want to experience/learn Hungarian wines? Appreciate a cozy cool environment? Enjoy talking with awesome humans? Want to support those awesome humans in their business? YOU NEED TO GO TO PRESS HOUSE 47! I found this place in planning our Budapest vacation and the experience FAR exceeded my already very high expectations! We enjoyed a wide range of white, red (and even Orange) wines and their interesting explanation and presentation by co-owner Mark, who is really a great guy. Even some yummy sandwiches prepared by him as we sipped! I just can't say enough good things about this place. Spent the rest of our time in Budapest recommending it to folks we met. Press House 47 is also Parle wine/cocktail bar, an intimate 13-seat establishment with a very cool vibe that serves great wines as well as a wide range of bespoke and very affordable cocktails. Be sure to check them out... you'll be glad you did!Posted on Hannah CVerified 10/10 Hungarian wine experience We attended as a large group for a celebration. Short answer: yes and no.
Parlé is a cozy wine bar in Budapest, open Wednesday to Saturday from 17:00 to midnight. You can drop in for a glass of wine, cocktails, premium spirits, or some small bites. We also have a surprisingly good selection of non-alcoholic drinks.
Presshouse47 is the brand behind our wine tastings. Around 90% of these tastings take place at Parlé, which is why the two names often appear together – but technically they refer to different things.
Parlé wine bar is located in downtown Budapest, easily accessible from both the Buda and Pest sides of the city.
We’re a small and cozy wine bar focusing on natural wines, cocktails, and curated wine tastings. Most Presshouse47 tasting events take place here.
Absolutely. Most Presshouse47 wine tastings are available in English, so they’re easy to follow for international guests.
Many of our visitors come from abroad to discover Hungarian wines and Budapest’s wine culture.
Yes – and we actually love hosting private events.
Parlé is perfect for private wine tastings, corporate gatherings, birthdays, or small celebrations. Pricing depends on the season, the day of the week, the time slot, and the group size.
Instead of a traditional venue rental fee, we usually work with a minimum consumption. Feel free to email or call us and we’ll help plan the details.

The wines and the theme of the tasting are always tailored to the group.
Yes, reservations are possible during opening hours.
Since we’re a small wine bar, we usually reserve seats rather than large tables.
After 9:30 PM it’s often difficult to accept new reservations. If you’re planning to come with a group larger than 4–5 people, please message or call us in advance so we can make sure there’s space for you.
Not at all.
Wine is a big part of what we do, but we also love cocktails and we’re quite proud of our house creations. On top of that, we have a fairly wide selection of spirits.
You can find our current menu on Instagram, Facebook, Google, and our website.
If you’re interested in a private cocktail or spirits tasting, similar to our Presshouse47 wine tastings, just send us an email or give us a call.
Yes. Parlé regularly features natural wines and bottles from small producers from Hungary and across Europe.
We love expressive, lively wines – but you’ll also find more classic styles on the list.
At the bar we always offer a few classic snacks: olives, cured ham, cheeses, good olive oil, and fresh bread.
We also organize regular events, and quite often there’s a weekly main dish available as well.
For Presshouse47 wine tastings we can sometimes prepare a warm dish if arranged in advance. If you’re looking for a full dinner experience with your tasting, we usually recommend our sister restaurant: Bartók reggel, délben, este.
In that case, we often collaborate with our partner restaurant Bartók reggel, délben, este on the Buda side of the city.
It’s a great downtown restaurant where wine tastings can be paired with a full lunch or dinner experience. It’s about 25 minutes away from us by public transport.
You can find more details about the tasting format at the link below.
Inside the bar we have 20 seats, but for a single group we usually say 25 guests is the comfortable maximum, especially if the terrace isn’t available.
For larger wine tastings or events, we often recommend hosting them at Bartók reggel, délben, este.
Most Presshouse47 wine tastings last around 1.5–2 hours.
During the tasting we explore several wines, talk about the regions and winemakers, and share stories behind the bottles. We also touch on Hungarian wine culture, history, and a few local curiosities along the way.
The atmosphere is relaxed and informal – more like a great conversation over wine than a classroom.
Yes, advance booking is usually required for Presshouse47 wine tastings.

Yes – though it’s more of a small, charming terrace.
From early May until late October we usually have around 10–12 seats outside in front of the bar. It’s not huge, but that’s part of its cozy charm.
Unfortunately we can’t expand it further – we want pedestrians to pass comfortably and also keep the neighborhood peaceful.
